Hi,
I observed recently that ChatGPT has the ability to automatically search on the web and then provide the answer.
However, this feature seems to be unstable for the current time. Sometime, it can be enabled automatically and sometimes it just says ‘Sorry, I can’t provide the latest news because …’.
Can someone help ?
Maybe I was picked by grayscale system under certain circumstances.

Yeah, it’s definitely taken some time for it to get better. Believe it or not, there was a time when it was far worse.
I’m aware that GPT can deny some of its own capabilities at times, but this can typically be resolved by tweaking your prompts, or simply reminding it that yes, it can search the internet.
Usually, if I want to activate that capbility, I explicitly state “Can you search the web for ___?”, as “web search” seems to be the right words that trigger its capabilities on that front.
