How flow control could transform ChatGPT Workspaces

I would like to suggest a key improvement to ChatGPT Workspaces to make them vastly more useful for serious personal and professional use:

Please add Flow Control settings for each Workspace — separately for Conversation Context and Files.

For each, allow the user to select:
None — fully private (current behavior)
Inbound only — accept general/other Workspace context or files, but do not share out
Outbound only — share context or files outward, but do not accept external content
In & Out — full bidirectional flow

This could be done with simple toggle buttons in Workspace settings:
• One toggle for Conversation Context Flow
• One toggle for File Flow

This feature would allow users to:
• Keep some Workspaces fully private
• Use other Workspaces as domain knowledge hubs accessible across conversations
• Reuse files across Workspaces where appropriate
• Have much more control over privacy vs usability

Today’s hard siloed behavior is great for privacy, but highly limiting for advanced users. Giving us Flow Control would make Workspaces a game-changing tool for knowledge management and AI tuning.

Please strongly consider adding this — it would significantly improve the power and flexibility of ChatGPT for its users.
