I’ve using ChatGPT to “write” a story for fun for it looks like may have start a new conversation again to continue the but i want the story continue with the context from the previously conversations.
Im getting network errors when i try to continuano the story
I like where i got the story is going and don’t ChatGPT to change the flow of the story.
Is there a way i can import the last few prompts of the previous conversation into a new conviene so ChatGPT can remembers the context of the story?
For general chat, there is no way of putting information into ChatGPT as though the AI wrote it (except by convincing jailbreak injections of text, which I wouldn’t encourage).
If your prior conversation is just borked database and can’t continue, I would copy three of the consecutive AI outputs, or more if there is a particular character or plot point, along with the best overview of the project into a text document. Then just prompt along the lines of "here’s the outline, and chapters 9, 10, 11 of my AI-written story, continue writing chapter 12 (of 20).
(ChatGPT doesn’t really use much for it’s “memory” anyway; it’s best to fully prompt each turn to get the output you want.)
You did have the AI make a story outline and chapter table-of-contents so it knows where it is going, right?..
