We created a plugin for ChatGPT.
The plugin was approved and published.
When submitting the plugin, one of the steps was:
“I would like to Web on Demand Website Builder in the following countries”
We picked a few countries, just to get started: US,CA,GB.
And now we can not choose more.
Can you please extend the availability to:
US,CA,GB,AT,BE,BG,DK,FI,FR,DE,GR,HU,IS,IT,LU,MC,ME,NL,NO,PL,PT,RO,SM,SE,CH,UA,IL
Thank you in advance,
Jack
Hi Jack,
I checked the current OpenAI plugin submission documentation. As far as the documented flow goes, country availability is treated as publication metadata, so there doesn’t appear to be a supported way to change the countries in-place on an already published version.
You shouldn’t need to create a new plugin, though. You can update the existing plugin by creating/uploading a new package version and updating publication.countries.
For example:
"publication": {
"countries": ["US", "CA", "GB", "AT", "BE", "BG", "DK", "FI", "FR", "DE"]
}
There is also a useful option in the current docs:
"publication": {
"countries": []
}
An empty array removes country restrictions entirely, whereas omitting the countries field preserves the existing targeting.
According to the current submission docs, metadata changes require a new package version on the same plugin, followed by the applicable review/publish steps.
Official reference:
OpenAI Developers → Plugins → Upload and submit your plugin → publication.countries
So, unless OpenAI has an internal/manual override that isn’t documented, creating an update to the existing plugin appears to be the supported route.
Thank you so much, I’ll give it a try ASAP.
Jack
