For Plus users who work in short intensive sessions, the 5-hour limit can become the bottleneck long before the weekly allowance is exhausted.
A small paid add-on — e.g. $5 for an extra burst window, or temporary relaxation of the 5-hour cap while keeping the weekly cap — would fit occasional developer use much better than jumping directly to a $100/month plan or consuming a limited reset.
In my personal case, I mostly use codex after work for small personal projects and I end up most of the time the week with some credit left, sometimes thou, I do not finish work I would like to accomplish because I hit the 5h limit during a productive couple of hours and wait 2 am seems unreasonable as well as burn a rest when I still have more or less 60% of the weekly and a day or two till reset… I understand running the datacenter is not cheap, but…
