I’m under extreme time pressure and working on highly complex programming problems that require reliable AI assistance. The previous OpenAI models like gpt-4-o1 or gpt-4-o3-mini were incredibly helpful - they were fast, precise, and efficient. But since the recent model changes, quality has dropped significantly.
The new models are no longer usable for my workflow. They are inaccurate, inconsistent, often forget context, and are causing growing frustration, stress, and even health issues. Anyone who relied on the former high-performance models will understand how hard it is to accept such a drastic downgrade - especially when working at a professional level.
That’s why I’m urgently looking for a serious alternative to OpenAI - something that matches or even surpasses the capabilities of gpt-4-o1 or o3-mini.
What matters most to me: strong code understanding, logical problem solving, fast and accurate responses, reliable context handling, and stable performance over longer sessions.
If anyone has solid experience with alternatives (like Claude, Gemini, Mistral, CodeLlama or other local models), please share your insights. I’ve waited two weeks hoping OpenAI would improve or clarify things, but so far there’s no solid update.
Thank you in advance for any serious help or recommendations!
