HELP: Operator - "Conversation is closed."

HELP: Operator - “Conversation is closed.”

I’m not sure why I can’t continue my task? I didn’t reach my limit… can someone help? I can open other tasks and can engage with them but not this one.

Hi @rosebeverly

I have two 2 days old conversations that are closed as well.

Can you confirm if this was an old conversation?

I also could use a little help on this one. I am building conversation that really work well and complete task like extracting info from invoices, ect but every two day roughly the conversation closes and I can not run that function again. How can I build something and then use it occasionally.

Hi there! It closed me out in the middle of the conversation. I tried to pick it back up in another chat and it closed me out again. Anyway around this?

SAME. It’s incredibly frustrating to pay $200 per month to have the feature fail or error

Yeah, this issue of every conversation closing permanently and an inability to continue my work is a big waste of time and definitely not what we expected would be happening when we paid $200. Losing faith in Open AI.

IM getting the same problems. I trained my operator for 2 hours to go marketing, was spot on… I left it for 1 hour and the conversation closed - no way to start it back off

Have you figured it out ?

anyone have an update on this?

Same issue here. Like most of you, I trained for 2 hours, got it perfect and opened this morning and the convo is closed.

Same here. It shut me down yesterday due to hitting some arbitrary limit and now I can’t come back to it. Really frustrating.

same here - also keeps saying, can I proceed on every task

Hi. Can confirm that this is happening on my end as well. This seems to be the default way they are handling conversations that last more than a day or so. Was it always like this? Needless to say, it’s a very frustrating user experience and something I am sure they will be looking to fix based on the acrid feedback.

Here’s my beginnings of a workaround (though it’s hardly a substitute for being able to reopen conversations). For all already closed tasks, you can click “Save Task” in the top right and it will at least summarize what you were working on for you and save it as a repeatable future task (which of course will also infuriatingly close seemingly a day after use).

Then, for all future Operator work, explain to Operator that they need to document everything they’re doing for future sessions (wherever it makes sense to you, for example, Google Docs).

Then, next time you start up a new Operator, you can point it to this briefing (or update the Saved Task’s description with it). Hopefully that will allow us to maintain some momentum between sessions.

Of course, the necessity of this is completely absurd considering the pricepoint of Operator. It’s like training a new hire only to have them quit at the end of every day.

As I mentioned, I believe just as ChatGPT chats were able to be longer, this too will be fixed. I think the reason they close chats like this might be that they don’t want to hold the Operator’s browser session on a reserved virtual machine for an indefinite period of time. That said, you would think there would be a way to hibernate it and boot it back up when the Operator is resummoned…

LOL this is so good.

Yeah same for me, I’m still so frustrated with the conversations closing. Please let us know if you figure out other work arounds. Thank you

The irony of this showing at the bottom of this thread.

I assumed it would at least run until the task is complete. Mine keeps stopping every thirty or so tasks and saying it’s done when it clearly isn’t. I didn’t give it an infinite task, but rather a set (fill out these numbered rows in a spreadsheet)

Ha! Great point, made me laugh. Has anyone found a workaround?

Mine are closing in less than 12 hours. Everything i ask it …says its too time consuming and closes chat
