Hi OpenAI Community!
As someone who discovered AI while solving practical problems in insurance underwriting, I’ve stumbled upon something interesting that I’d like to share and potentially expand upon.
During my regular Uber trips to/from the bar over the weekends, I’ve been organically demonstrating OpenAI’s voice features to drivers, and the results have been remarkable. Two recent experiences particularly stand out:

A driver who became emotional after discovering how the tool could help solve his financial questions - something he had been struggling with but didn’t know how to approach.

A beautiful moment where I connected with a Turkish-speaking driver by using the voice feature for real-time translation, creating a seamless conversation that would have been impossible otherwise.
These experiences highlight something crucial: there’s a significant gap between amazing AI technology and the people who could benefit most from it. As someone who regularly bridges technical and non-technical worlds in my insurance work, I’ve seen firsthand how personal, one-on-one demonstrations can transform skepticism into enthusiasm.
What makes this approach unique is that it’s:
- Authentic: Real interactions in natural settings
- Practical: Showing immediate, relevant applications
- Accessible: Breaking down complex technology into understandable benefits
I have a simple yet scalable idea: What if we could create a network of authentic, person-to-person demonstrations across multiple states? Not as a traditional marketing campaign, but as a genuine effort to connect this amazing technology with people who might never discover it otherwise. Having marketing experience, I see the potential for reaching demographics that conventional channels miss, particularly through these organic, real-world interactions.
