I have been testing the new GPT-Live voice model, and I really like the natural full-duplex conversation. It works especially well for discussing software architecture, exploring ideas, and thinking through complex problems.
At the moment, GPT-Live seems to be limited to normal chats. I would love to use it inside Projects, ChatGPT Work as well in ChatGPT Codex.
Projects would be especially useful because they already contain files, project instructions, and related conversations. Being able to talk with GPT-Live while it has access to that project context would make voice conversations much more practical.
The integration with ChatGPT Work could be even more powerful. A user could discuss a task naturally with GPT-Live, ask it to start working on the task, and then continue the conversation while the work is being done.
For example:
- I discuss a software problem with GPT-Live.
- GPT-Live understands the goal and the project context.
- I ask ChatGPT Work to inspect files, research something, or create an implementation.
- I can continue talking, clarify requirements, or change direction without leaving the conversation.
In my view, GPT-Live could become the interaction layer, while ChatGPT Work becomes the execution layer.
Is support for GPT-Live in Projects, ChatGPT Work or Codex planned? I would also be interested to hear whether other users would find this workflow useful.
