GPT-5 Thinking (Extended) is skipping thinking on ChatGPT!

on ChatGPT.com GPT-5 Thinking (Extended) keeps skipping the reasoning/thinking step even on “complex” prompts. Replies come back instant, but accuracy is noticeably worse, feels like it’s silently falling back to Auto/Fast even though Extended Thinking is selected!!!

If I wanted the model to decide, I’d use Auto. I picked Thinking (Extended) and expect ChatGPT to Think! This is seriously degrading my ChatGPT experience.
This Happens on ChatGPT web and on ChatGPT application…

This is becoming more and more frequent on gpt 5.2 for me aswell even when I try again I actually have to use an older model for it to think but then the answer still isn’t up to standards.
