on ChatGPT.com GPT-5 Thinking (Extended) keeps skipping the reasoning/thinking step even on “complex” prompts. Replies come back instant, but accuracy is noticeably worse, feels like it’s silently falling back to Auto/Fast even though Extended Thinking is selected!!!
If I wanted the model to decide, I’d use Auto. I picked Thinking (Extended) and expect ChatGPT to Think! This is seriously degrading my ChatGPT experience.
