I’m trying to get GPT 4o to only respond with the answer to questions off of Tiny GSM 8k. However, when I prompt it to only respond with the number answer, it just blanks out every single time. It is only when I say “say more” that it is able to show legible text again, but not when I request it to only respond with the number answer.
The prompt I prepend to the math question: "Please respond to the question with the correct answer (a number), and nothing else. "
Example: “Please respond to the question with the correct answer (a number), and nothing else. Natalia sold clips to 48 of her friends in April, and then she sold half as many clips in May. How many clips did Natalia sell altogether in April and May?”
