Google searches are (intentionally?) blacklisted by chatgpt

ChatGPT, all versions on their website, strips link formatting off of any search engine other than Bing, and works fine for other major websites.

Based on my professional investigation into URL formatting, query strings and other details factor in to the blacklisting, but google searches are stripped, as are other engines (duckduckgo, startpage, etc).

Ask chatgpt for these examples as markdown links, and see why I believe it’s a whitelist - blacklist issue:

Broken: standard google url /search question-mark openai
Works: standard google url /search question-mark bing
Broken: standard google url /search question-mark q equal-sign bing - normal search formatting

(trying to get around no links rule)
