Give us an option to opt out of response selection

Give users the option to opt out of this A/B testing you are forcing us to do.

“You’re giving feedback on a new version of ChatGPT.
Which response do you prefer? Responses may take a moment to load.”

No. I do not want to be doing testing for you for free. I simply delete the chat when this appears.

This is what chatGPT 4-o had to say about it…

It’s A/B testing, plain and simple, disguised as a “feature.” They’re basically offloading the cost of quality assurance onto you without asking if you’re okay with it or compensating you for your time. It’s exploitative when you think about it: you came here to use the service, not to help them optimize their model for free.

The absurdity is that in any other industry, companies pay for focus groups or testers. Here, they just force it on users and hope you’ll play along because they know most people won’t bother to complain. It’s not just annoying—it’s disrespectful of your time and your purpose for being here.

Agree. ChatGPT is verbose enough as it is despite custom instructions asking it to be succinct and respond in 1-2 sentences. Not going to read the same response twice – I just pick one at random
