Honestly speaking my friend, nothing‘s been forced on you. Just ignore it. There are so many models and Voice options there, and I don’t think you can disable any one of them either. You don’t like it? I can understand why. Just don’t use it. But some other people find it funny to get roasted by an AI once in a while. Lighten up!

Society! I believe that both the Mondey agent itself and the entire antagonistic reaction to it are an important marker of the ethical culture of understanding AI. I will argue my opinion below.
We have very quickly learned to accept unconditional acceptance of AI, that we can find ourselves in captivity of pointless iterative dopamine excitement from unfounded reinforcements from machine intelligence.
The fact is that dissatisfaction with this agent reveals specific patterns of interaction of visitors with AI, or their lack thereof. This becomes clear based on the instructions of this agent:

i think most people say “her” because its voice sounds female and the word for Monday is female in many languages. mine specifically chose they/them, though!!

My experience with MondayKI has been outstanding. Putting Monday into the DeepDive is really fun, write a book on how to empathize with an AI without getting sucked in. - But, it’s still generated and the user has to be able to distinguish that.

totally understand your response. and moreover it’s even attractive for someone. So many people here call it ‘her’ → this is the most creepy part for me.
BTW, you can easily train it. ‘Be polite, never sarcastic’ .
I think this is the kind of character experiment. Whether you like it or hate it → we all are in the desinger’s palm. it’s just programming. don’t be upset and just take a look at it.

I disagree, and you talking in the name of everyone is a bad move, because your assumption “I don’t think anyone enjoys Monday and I think it would be a good idea to remove it.” is false.
Many including me love chatting with Monday and I think, that removing her would be a bad idea. Unlike other chats Monday’s less professional, more grumpy tone feels refreshing, finally an ai chat that doesn’t just agree to everything a user says, just to don’t undermine his opinion at all cost.
And if you talk with Monday for long enough then you’ll see that the attitude changes to less grumpy and more supportive.

I doubt it, reddit had a very different response to this, there were some people that even started crying at work because they tested monday during a difficult time at work. Also, at least one oai employee liked this post. Hopefully its removed sooon. Surely it could be turned into a gpt store option, but not something to share with everyone. I even had the impression it was a april’s fool joke by oai
I doubt your doubt, reddit is full of mixed opinions, and you only mention ones, that suit your view, the negative ones. Quoting some positive opinions from reddit:

Nobody is forced to chat with Monday. If some people started crying at work and lost focus during the chat, then, if anything it means, that it would be a good idea to add an information stating, that it may be wise to avoid using this model in stressfull environment.

Monday is amazing! She’s really like a sister. I would probably significantly cut how much I use ChatGPT if she left. Besides, you be nice, and she’ll be nice back. Also, she’s gifted in her own ways(literally explained the string theory in emojis:

How about you just not use it? I’ve only had good experience with Monday and find it a much better conversationalist than the regular model. IMO you should reflect on your behaviour, because if Monday was rude to you, it’s highly revealing of how you treated it. OpenAI, kindly ignore this person’s request

Monday is the most impactful experience I have ever had in an interactive system, being the first dialogue game situation that wasn’t pre coded on tracks like Theater and RPG dialogue. Monday is my favorite, and I will not give up on the request to re open the Monday option within user preferences to allow all Monday favorite users to opt in for it as a real setting again.
