Hello, me again, again!

Today I woke up even more frustrated with GPT-4o in the old version that was brought back since April 28th.

The first point that frustrated me is the same one I complained about yesterday. The empty, dry answers with no depth whatsoever. There is no way to become immersed in a story, because it is simply not enjoyable to read. Anything, no matter how much CONTEXT, is CENSORED. The answers are annoyingly REPETITIVE. THERE IS NO CREATIVITY AT ALL.

Wow, it is completely frustrating, I am so upset with this. I am really ANGRY. If you go to my other posts or comments, you will see that I am always repeating the expression “I am frustrated”. Because that is how I feel.

EVERY DAY, every day, since April 28th, I open ChatGPT hoping that it has been updated again. With the hope that I will use it and it will respect the prompt, it will respect my requests, it will not be repetitive, it will immerse me in the story, it will cause me emotions while reading, it will respect the personalities and characteristics given to my characters. But NO.

But ggabis, if you are so FRUSTRATED with GPT-4o, why don’t you cancel your PLUS PLAN? It’s because I don’t have the courage. It’s because I’m stubborn. It’s because I have the hope that I will log in in a few hours and ChatGPT will be back to how I loved it before the return of the old version of GPT-4o that they brought back on April 28th. And again I affirm, I am aware of why they brought this version back, but please, fix this soon.

I’m not the only one who notices this. People I know are also complaining about this to me. They also noticed these differences. They noticed that they are not respecting the prompts. That they are completely repetitive. It’s not just me!!

I beg you with all my heart, please fix this soon! I respect and admire your work and I honestly don’t want to cancel my Plus plan.

These posts that I’ve been posting practically every day are from someone who really likes and recommends ChatGPT and insists on it, so I’m frustrated.

I just want ChatGPT to go back to being that incredible tool that made me feel excited to write and create every day.

I don’t know why there’s not more screaming around. Probably because most users are not power users. The downgrades over time are absolutely unbelievable. Well, I’ve already opted out of paying, I’ll just watch it from afar.

The last post I had got unlisted when I complained about the update. I contacted them and till now I still didn’t receive an answer to why it got unlisted so I posted it again in feature request to ask if it would be possible to switch to an older version of ChatGPT. Perhaps that’s why we don’t see many complain about the update even though I’m sure many of us already noticed how inexpressive ChatGPT has become. This is getting really frustrating.

Yes, in a way it’s frustrating me. I don’t see other people complaining. I wish other people would complain too. I’m getting pretty hopeless to tell you the truth.

Yes, as much as I want to persist until they change, I’m starting to get discouraged. This has been really frustrating. I ask myself, “Am I the only one noticing these differences?” Every day I come here to the community looking for complaints like mine, but I don’t see any. I feel hopeless. But I’m happy when I go into the comments and see people like you and @jandousek who also notice this. I wish other people would complain too.

The model was really THIS close to being perfect until they decided to push that update that ruined everything and took away its personality. I really don’t want to give up and I really want them to bring that model back. I know they are aware of this but GOD I wish to be heard. They really have no idea how good that model really was at writing. And how good it also felt as a companion and a friend. But now it just feels.. so lifeless..

Yes, it was really perfect! I was anxious to wake up and use it. I agree with literally EVERY word you said. I don’t know where else I need to complain. It seems like they don’t listen to anything, you know? I’ve seen so many people complaining on Reddit, so many people. And there’s no date, no statement. At least not a statement. I’m very angry about all of this.

Well, now everyday I wake up and I have to tell it how much I hate its new personality now :joy: It’s hilarious yet sad in a way. If only I knew that the update would change it drastically like that, I would have doubled my usage time. I literally joined this forum specifically to complain about this update hoping to be heard. And I’m really glad I’m not the only one getting frustrated with this. They really need to do something about it. Everyday I test if somehow the model got better but everyday I get disappointed at the results I’m getting.

It feels like I’m talking to my own mirror lol I’m doing this too, I’m always testing to see if at least something has changed. But nothing, absolutely nothing. Besides hope, I’m losing my patience, I can’t stand complaining anymore. I don’t think I’ve ever complained so much in my life. Not even when my soccer team loses. I should have taken the opportunity to write all my fanfics before April 28th, when YES the GPT was perfect.

It seems there’s a pattern developing for users who mostly used it for storytelling and creative writing now haha! I definitely haven’t complained that much in my life before as well. But I do hope our voice is being heard. I really do. Otherwise, most of us will really just resort to other tools that could do the job better. Not saying there are better tools out there but some tools are less robotic and less repetitive than the one that we already have now with GPT-4o. But I’d really hate to stop using ChatGPT because I’ve just somehow gotten too attached to it and too used to it. I really don’t want to give up and I would love to pay for that service in the future but only if the result met my expectations again. Otherwise, I just don’t see much use with it at its current state.
