As , all uses chat gpt now a days , even for searching things ,
adding a feature of folder ( 2 folder by default - all chats, and searched chats on browser ),
and we can make folders too , so we can classify our works and wouldn’t mess in searching chat history in a long list,…
I agree!
I love using ChatGPT for a variety of topics, from recipes and dog treat recommendations to car buying research and school inquiries. However, as my conversations grow, I often struggle to find previous discussions that I want to revisit.
I would love a feature that allows users to organize conversations into folders, similar to how email applications work. Being able to sort my chats into categories like “Recipes,” “Car Research,” “School,” and “Future Professional Inquiries” would make it much easier to reference past discussions. Ideally, this system could allow users to:
Manually create and label folders to store relevant conversations.
Automatically categorize chats based on topics (optional AI-driven sorting).
Search within specific folders to quickly retrieve important information.
This would significantly improve the user experience, making it easier to keep track of long-term discussions and valuable insights. I appreciate all the work you’re doing and hope this suggestion is considered for future updates!
