I have noticed a recent drop of performance of my chatgpt account. I mainly used 4o as it offers greater multimodality. I’ve just thrown away an entire day trying to have chatgpt complying with my instructions about something it used to do in one prompt (write a 3000+ words articles from a transcript of a webinar) a few weeks back. I had to cut down the task into 6 diffferent steps (create a plan from the transcript, Extracted relevant quotes, write each block, etc) and iterate several time, feeding it with RAG formated documents of the original material to have it comply very approximatedly with my original prompt. In addition to that it lags a lot. Delivery is not just bad it is grossly misaligned with my instructions set. What is happening? Do I need to cancel my subcription and go to Claude paid version. I have had drops of performance in the past but not to that extend. Today I would have written this article myself it would taken me half of the time I’ve spent!!!
