I’m a regular user (not a developer) and recently tried to generate a PNG with transparent background and a PDF document using ChatGPT.
However, starting around April 26–27, the file generation process silently fails. There is no error code shown — it simply doesn’t produce any output.
I was informed that the file generation backend (the service that actually processes and builds requested files) is currently experiencing an outage. The problem is not with prompts, uploads, or internet connection — the generation engine itself is not functioning at this time. At least this is what the Chatbot told me.
Is this a known issue with the file generation system or Assets API? Is there any ETA on when it might be fixed?
Thanks for any updates — just trying to understand if I should wait or make other plans.
