Feedback Request to OpenAI: Expanded Message & Document Limits for Pro Users
Subject: Request for Increased Message & Document Length for Pro Users
Dear OpenAI Team,
I am a Pro user and have been using ChatGPT extensively for long-form content development, game design, and structured worldbuilding. While I greatly appreciate the power and flexibility of ChatGPT, I’ve encountered significant limitations due to message length restrictions and document truncation.
Key Issues & How They Impact Workflow
Message Length Restrictions:
- When working on detailed D&D dungeon designs, game lore, or structured reports, responses get truncated, requiring multiple interactions just to complete a single entry.
- This slows down workflow and makes it harder to maintain a cohesive creative process.
Document Length Limits:
- Long-form text entries (e.g., multi-room dungeon descriptions, in-depth lore, or full game mechanics) often exceed the allowed document size, leading to sections being lost or needing multiple saves.
- When updating documents, sometimes previous content gets overwritten or cut off.
File Export Restrictions:
- Currently, exporting full-length structured content is not seamless. Larger documents need to be manually divided across multiple updates.
- A “Download Full Document” feature or higher storage capacity would greatly improve Pro user experience.
Proposed Improvements for Pro Users
Increased Message Length Limit—Allowing longer individual responses without truncation.
Larger Document Storage & Editing Capacity—So long-form projects don’t require piecemeal updates.
Better File Export & Storage Options—For seamless downloading and saving of complete documents.
Adaptive Processing for Large Content—So AI can handle multi-section documents more efficiently without needing manual chunking.
As a dedicated user, I believe these enhancements would significantly improve Pro-tier functionality, making ChatGPT an even more powerful tool for game designers, writers, and content creators.
Thank you for your time and consideration! I’d love to see these features in a future update.
Best regards,
[A Pro User]
