Feedback options on IOS app - UI confusion

Hi OpenAI team,

I’m a frequent ChatGPT user on iPhone and wanted to provide feedback on what seems to be a UI limitation (or at least a confusing design pattern) within the iOS app.

In the bottom-right corner of my screen, I see either a mic icon or a send button, depending on the moment. At no point do I see my profile picture or a direct way to access Settings > Help > Share Feedback, as previously described in user guides and by support messages.

Additionally, when trying to leave feedback on specific messages (via thumbs-up/down), no icons are visible under responses—nor does tapping/holding a message do anything but highlight text.

The overall result is that I have no clear way to leave feedback, access my account settings, or even navigate to helpful support options within the app itself. The only link I can follow is to a generic “Help Center” page, which doesn’t feel personalized or interactive.

This makes it difficult for power users like myself—who want to contribute useful feedback—to participate in making the platform better.

I suggest:

• Making the feedback and help options more clearly accessible within the app UI

• Ensuring message-level feedback buttons appear in all contexts

• Allowing users to summarize or revisit recent conversations for context when giving feedback

Thanks for everything you’re building—ChatGPT has real potential to change how we work, create, and communicate. I’m sharing this because I believe better feedback design = a better product for all of us.

Best,

Adam Jackson
