Feedback on Enhancing ChatGPT’s Voice Feature + Beta Testing Interest

Hi OpenAI Community,

My name is Shalena D.I.V.A. Broaster, and I’ve been using ChatGPT extensively in my work as an author and coach. This tool has revolutionized the way I brainstorm, create content, and organize my ideas. With the introduction of the voice feature, I see even more potential for accessibility and impact—but I also believe there are opportunities to enhance its usability.

Here are some key suggestions for improving the voice feature:

:one: Dual-Mode Outputs (Audio + Visual):

  • Cater to diverse learning styles by offering simultaneous voice and text outputs.

:two: Conversational Check-Ins:

  • Add prompts like “Does this make sense so far?” or “Would you like to continue?” to ensure smoother interaction.

:three: Pause Sensitivity & Adaptive Cadence:

  • Introduce customizable pause settings and cadence modes (e.g., “Morning Mode” for reflective sessions or “Daytime Mode” for faster conversations).

:four: Real-Time Visual Feedback:

  • Provide live transcription or on-screen bullet points to anchor key takeaways.

:five: Productivity Tools:

  • Include features to save conversations as transcripts or documents, along with a pause-and-rewind function for reviewing outputs.

I’ve shared my full feedback, along with ideas for implementation, in a detailed document. I believe these enhancements could make ChatGPT’s voice feature more inclusive, accessible, and aligned with natural conversational flow.

Additionally, I would love the opportunity to:

  • Serve as a beta tester to refine future versions of ChatGPT.
  • Participate in OpenAI events or discussions to share insights as a dedicated user.

Thank you for creating tools that empower and transform lives. I’m excited to see ChatGPT continue to evolve!

Successfully Yours,
Shalena D.I.V.A. Broaster
