I’m a long-time ChatGPT Plus user, and I’ve noticed that the voice interaction limit has been cut down significantly—by at least two-thirds compared to just last week. Frankly, this feels like a slap in the face to power users who actually push the product, generate tons of data, and provide valuable feedback.
If anything, users who consistently engage with the tool, contribute meaningful input, and help stress-test new features should be rewarded, not limited. A sudden drop like this—without explanation or transparency—makes the product feel less premium and more like it’s being throttled unnecessarily.
I think OpenAI should consider tiered access or an option to unlock more voice time for users who have been around for a while or clearly contribute to product growth. Cutting people off mid-session—especially those of us who use this seriously and frequently—isn’t the right move.
The day and night difference between the amount of premium voice time I got this week and what I got just a few days ago is unrecognizable. I’m sure a lot of people are switching to other eye models because of this and that it is making Mike many people’s experience unpredictable
Please rethink this.
