Dear OpenAI Team,
I hope this message finds you well. I am currently a paid subscriber of ChatGPT and, for the most part, have been very satisfied with the quality of your service. The conversational capabilities and user experience of ChatGPT have truly been exceptional, and I am happy to support its continued development.
However, I would like to express some concerns regarding your DALL-E image generation service. While I understand and appreciate your commitment to ethical AI usage, I find the restrictive filtering policies on DALL-E to be overly limiting, especially for a paid product. As a user who values creative freedom, I believe that these restrictions suppress my ability to fully utilize the platform for my projects.
I recognize that OpenAI has to balance ethical considerations with providing a quality service, but I feel that the current approach undermines my ability to create content that I deem acceptable and appropriate for my own use. Furthermore, I am concerned that by paying for a ChatGPT subscription, I am indirectly supporting DALL-E’s policies, which do not align with my personal views on creative freedom.
I am writing to request that OpenAI consider:
Providing separate subscription options that allow users to support ChatGPT independently without contributing to the development of DALL-E.
Allowing more flexibility in content generation on DALL-E, especially for paying users who are responsible and capable of adhering to ethical guidelines on their own.
Offering a clearer and more transparent way for users to express their support or dissent for specific products within the OpenAI ecosystem.
I hope that my feedback is taken into consideration, as I genuinely believe in the potential of your technologies and would like to continue supporting ChatGPT without feeling conflicted about contributing to services that I do not fully agree with.
Thank you for your time, and I look forward to your response.
