Feedback & Appreciation for ChatGPT 5.2 – Noticeable Leap in Precision and Clarity

I would like to express my sincere appreciation and provide honest feedback to the OpenAI team regarding ChatGPT 5.2.

Through extensive use, it is clear that this release represents a genuine leap forward compared to previous models, particularly in the following areas:

  • Higher scientific accuracy, with less tendency to jump to unjustified conclusions.

  • Excellent linguistic clarity, without compressing meanings or resorting to oversimplification that sometimes occurred in earlier versions.

  • The model has become more transparent and direct in pointing out errors when they exist, rather than accommodating the user or creating a false sense that the user is always correct.

  • A noticeable improvement in structured logical reasoning and in linking causes to their consequences.

What I especially value in version 5.2 is that it does not prioritize user satisfaction at the expense of truth. Instead, it delivers more precise answers, even when they contradict the user’s initial assumptions.
This behavior is what truly makes the model a real learning and thinking tool, rather than just a source of comfortable or agreeable responses.

Looking ahead, I hope the continued development will place even more emphasis on:

  • Practical, real-world accuracy

  • Reducing unnecessary assumptions

  • Avoiding softened or overly diplomatic answers when the technical or scientific reality suggests otherwise

Overall, this version feels much closer to a model that can be relied upon for analysis and reasoning, not merely for text generation.

Thank you for the work you’ve done, and I hope this direction continues to shape future releases

I’m using GPT-5.2 for storytelling and roleplay via the API, and I’m very satisfied with its performance. (Though I have noticed some performance drops during certain periods of time, it has performed well over the past few sessions.) It brings all my worlds and characters to life in a way I’ve not seen before, and it’s a huge upgrade from my beloved GPT-4o and GPT-4.1 models in terms of storytelling. Reasoning is set to none for fantasy and cozy family drama, and medium for sci-fi and when leaning toward world simulations.

I’d also like to add that OpenAI has an excellent UX on its platform, making it easy to navigate through settings, information, and documentation.
