Feature Suggestion: Smart, Time-Aware Task Assistant with Persistent Memory

Hello OpenAI Team,

I hope this message finds you well. I’m a regular user of ChatGPT, and I’ve been exploring ways to make the assistant even more personalized and helpful. I’d like to suggest a few ideas that I believe could enhance the user experience:

  1. Time-Aware Task Assistant (TATA):
It would be great if ChatGPT could act as a personal assistant for tasks, assignments, and projects. This would include:
  • Setting reminders based on deadlines and priorities (e.g., project due in 2 days, time to start working on it).
  • Offering smart check-ins and context-aware nudges based on the user’s goals.
  • Helping break down tasks into manageable steps.
  1. Persistent Memory for Ongoing Projects:
An optional memory feature would allow ChatGPT to remember tasks, deadlines, preferences, and ongoing projects between sessions. This would make it easier for users to manage long-term goals without needing to repeat themselves every time they return.
  • This would work on an opt-in basis, allowing users to control what information is stored and used in future interactions.

These enhancements would help users stay organized, manage time more efficiently, and allow the assistant to offer more personalized support.

Thank you for considering these suggestions. I’m excited to see how ChatGPT evolves!
