Dear OpenAI team,
I’m a regular ChatGPT user and wanted to share an idea I’ve been thinking about for a while.
I often use ChatGPT for studying, productivity, and even emotional support. It has helped me in countless ways, and I’m truly grateful for that. But sometimes, I wish it could initiate a conversation with me—just a gentle nudge like “How’s your prep going?” or “Don’t forget to take a break,” especially on days when I’m struggling to stay on track.
I completely understand the privacy and infrastructure concerns, so I’m not asking for something invasive or always-on. Just an optional feature, where users could choose to let ChatGPT check in at certain times or intervals, and only when we’ve opted into it. Something respectful, mindful, and supportive.
I believe this kind of feature could help many students, remote workers, or people with mental health needs who sometimes need just a little encouragement to get back on track.
Thank you for everything you’re building. I hope this idea is helpful, or at least worth thinking about for the future!
Warm regards,
Ayush (Ladu)
