I would like to suggest an Interactive Test / Worksheet mode for ChatGPT, especially for students and people preparing for exams.
For example, if I ask ChatGPT to create a Fill-in-the-Blanks test, ChatGPT currently displays the questions with blank spaces, but there is no dedicated area where I can directly type my answers into those blanks.
Suggested Feature
When ChatGPT generates a test, worksheet, quiz, or fill-in-the-blanks exercise, each blank should become an editable input field.
For example:
1. SEO stands for:
The user should be able to click directly inside the blank and type:
1. SEO stands for:
Similarly, for short-answer questions:
2. What is SEO?
The answer box should appear directly below the question, rather than requiring the user to type their answers at the bottom of the ChatGPT conversation.
Additional Features That Would Make It More Useful
-
Submit Test button
After completing the test, the user could click “Submit.” -
Automatic evaluation
ChatGPT could check the answers and provide:-
Score
-
Correct answers
-
Incorrect answers
-
Explanations
-
Topics that need revision
-
-
Multiple question types
Support:-
Fill in the blanks
-
Multiple choice
-
True/False
-
Short answers
-
Long answers
-
Match the following
-
Numerical questions
-
-
Retry Wrong Answers
After grading, ChatGPT could generate a new mini-test containing only the questions the user got wrong. -
Exam Mode
A timer could be added so users can simulate an actual written examination. -
Progress Tracking
ChatGPT could track performance across multiple tests and identify weak topics.
Example User Experience
Instead of:
SEO stands for __________
What is Digital Marketing?
CTR stands for __________
And then having to type all answers separately at the bottom, it could work like:
1. SEO stands for:
Search Engine Optimization2. What is Digital Marketing?
Type your answer here...3. CTR stands for:
Click-Through Rate
The user completes the worksheet directly within the ChatGPT response and then clicks Submit Test.
This would make ChatGPT much more useful as an interactive study, revision, and exam-preparation tool, rather than only a tool for generating questions and answers.
Why This Would Be Valuable
This feature would make studying more engaging and reduce friction. Students could practice, write, submit, get evaluated, and retry without leaving the conversation.
It would essentially turn ChatGPT into an interactive digital workbook/exam platform.
