Feature request: Website Evaluation

I propose a new feature for ChatGPT where it evaluates the trustworthiness of the websites it uses to source information and assigns a “trustworthiness score” for each reference. This score would be based on factors such as source credibility, domain authority, recency of the information, and citation quality. By providing users with a transparent trust score for each source, end users can better assess the reliability of the information presented. This would align with principles of evidence-based evaluation often taught in graduate-level education and empower users to make informed decisions about the information they consume. For example, academic journals or reputable organizations might score higher, while less-verified blogs or forums may receive lower scores. This scoring system would not only enhance transparency but also encourage critical thinking, reinforcing trust in ChatGPT’s responses.
