Feature Request: Unified Workspace Combining Codex Development, Data Analysis, and Advanced Report Generation

Dears,

I am a data analyst and use ChatGPT for end-to-end analytical workflows, including data extraction, data processing, business analysis, and report generation.

Currently, Codex and ChatGPT Work/Projects provide different strengths, but they are separated into different experiences. In real-world data projects, these capabilities are often required together.

I would like to see a unified workspace where users can:

  1. Combine Codex and ChatGPT analysis capabilities in the same project/window

    For example:

    • Use Codex to write SQL queries, connect to databases, automate data pipelines, and process data.
    • Use ChatGPT’s analytical capabilities to interpret results, identify insights, and generate business recommendations.
    • Maintain the same project context, files, and conversation history without switching between different tools.

  2. Create an end-to-end AI data analyst workflow

    Ideally:

    Database
   ↓
SQL generation and data extraction (Codex)
   ↓
Data analysis and insights (ChatGPT)
   ↓
Professional business report generation
   ↓
Presentation-ready visualization

  3. Improve report visualization capabilities

    The current visualization and reporting capabilities are useful, but compared with some other AI models and analytics tools, there is still a gap.

    I hope ChatGPT can provide:

    • More professional dashboard-style visualizations
    • Better chart recommendations based on analytical goals
    • More polished executive presentation layouts
    • More business-ready PPT/report outputs
    • Interactive visual analysis instead of only static charts

For professional analysts, the final deliverable is not only the analysis itself, but also how effectively insights are communicated to stakeholders.

A stronger combination of development + analysis + visualization would make ChatGPT a much more powerful AI analyst assistant.
