Feature Request: "Today" Section for Easier Chat Navigation

Current UI Setup:

While using ChatGPT on the desktop, the navigation panel on the left includes options such as:

  • GPT Selection
  • Explore GPTs
  • “Today’s Page”
  • “Yesterday’s Page”
  • “Previous 30 Days”
  • “2024” (for yearly archives)

Problem:

Users often ask multiple questions in a single day. If they need to revisit a response from earlier in the day, they must:

  1. Scroll up manually through long conversations.
  2. Search for the same question again to get a new response.
  3. Rely on the “Previous 30 Days” or “2024” sections, which are not ideal for short-term retrieval and honestly ,who uses them.

Suggested Improvement:

:bulb: Introduce a “Today” Section for Easy Access to Recent Conversations

Instead of emphasizing long-term archives (like “30 Days” or “2024”), a “Today” filter should allow users to quickly navigate to questions they asked earlier in the day.

Why This is Useful:

  • Saves Time: No need to re-scroll or re-ask the same questions.
  • Enhances User Experience: Makes it easy to refer back to important responses.
  • More Practical: Users are more likely to revisit recent conversations than those from a month or a year ago.

Would love to see this feature implemented! :rocket:
