Current UI Setup:
While using ChatGPT on the desktop, the navigation panel on the left includes options such as:
- GPT Selection
- Explore GPTs
- “Today’s Page”
- “Yesterday’s Page”
- “Previous 30 Days”
- “2024” (for yearly archives)
Problem:
Users often ask multiple questions in a single day. If they need to revisit a response from earlier in the day, they must:
- Scroll up manually through long conversations.
- Search for the same question again to get a new response.
- Rely on the “Previous 30 Days” or “2024” sections, which are not ideal for short-term retrieval and honestly ,who uses them.
Suggested Improvement:
Introduce a “Today” Section for Easy Access to Recent Conversations
Instead of emphasizing long-term archives (like “30 Days” or “2024”), a “Today” filter should allow users to quickly navigate to questions they asked earlier in the day.
Why This is Useful:
- Saves Time: No need to re-scroll or re-ask the same questions.
- Enhances User Experience: Makes it easy to refer back to important responses.
- More Practical: Users are more likely to revisit recent conversations than those from a month or a year ago.
Would love to see this feature implemented!
