As a student who uses ChatGPT daily for learning, I’ve noticed a challenge. When I ask multiple questions across different topics, and later try to return to a previous topic, ChatGPT often forgets the earlier context.
Feature Suggestion:
Please allow users to switch between previous topic threads or reopen earlier threads within the same conversation, so we can continue where we left off — without losing the flow.
Why this matters:
- Students jump between subjects (e.g., DSA ➝ Automata ➝ Resume tips ➝ back to DSA).
- Right now, we have to re-explain everything.
- This feature would make ChatGPT more like a knowledge partner, not just a Q&A tool.
It could look like:
- Tabs for each topic
- “Return to previous topic” button
- Smart topic detection and grouping
