# Feature request: Screen sharing in desktop/web text chat

I would like ChatGPT to support live screen sharing directly inside a normal text chat on desktop - either in the desktop app or in the web browser.

Currently, screen sharing is tied to Voice mode, which is not useful for workflows where I need to stay in a long-running text conversation with full context.

The ideal workflow would be:

- keep the same text conversation and its full history/context,
- start screen sharing from the desktop app or browser,
- let ChatGPT see the computer screen live while I continue typing normally,
- allow me to stop and restart screen sharing without changing conversation mode.

This would be especially useful for technical support, debugging, software configuration, step-by-step work, and long projects where continuity of the text thread is important.

The key requirement is:  
screen sharing should work in the normal desktop/web text chat, not only in Voice mode.
