Feature Request: Recreate a Personal Workspace After Merging Into ChatGPT Business

I merged my Personal workspace into ChatGPT Business when upgrading.

I understand the merge may not be reversible, and I don’t need my old chats or data restored. I just want the option to create a new, empty Personal workspace while keeping my Business workspace active.

ChatGPT already supports accounts with both Personal and Business workspaces, but after choosing “Merge,” there seems to be no way to return to that setup without deactivating Business or creating a separate OpenAI account.

A simple option like this would solve it:

Settings → Workspaces → Create Personal workspace

The new Personal workspace could start empty. This would let users keep one login while separating work and personal use again.

Please consider allowing users who previously merged Personal into Business to recreate a Personal workspace without deactivating their active Business workspace.

Hey @ Lindsey! Yeah, this makes sense. Being able to create a new, empty Personal workspace would make it easier to separate personal and work activity again.

I’ll pass your feedback along internally. I can’t promise a timeline or whether this feature will be added, but the clear use case is helpful.
