Please add an option to disable automatic sidebar collapsing in the ChatGPT desktop app. I want to manually control whether the sidebar is open or closed, and have that state persist until I explicitly change it. The current behavior—where the sidebar automatically collapses—makes the desktop app more frustrating to use, especially on a large display where there is plenty of room for the sidebar to remain visible.
Hi, I have the same problem. I use 2x5K displays on a Mac Studio. I have enough space to keep the sidebar open all the time, but the way it works now is really annoying because the sidebar always closes and I have to keep searching and opening it… Over and over and over again…
YES! But I have the opposite problem and this is about to cause me to cancel my subscription! It’s absolutely infuriating having the sidebar pop open all the time! I have my app open on the right side of my desktop as I like to have my working window on the left with the sidebar collapsed for extra writing space, and EVERY TIME I move my cursor to the ChaptGPT app it triggers the fucking sidebar! It’s even worse on this latest update.
