Dear OpenAI Support,
I would like to submit one additional suggestion about ChatGPT Saved Memory.
Currently, Saved Memory can preserve individual pieces of important information from conversations. I would like OpenAI to consider adding a new option that allows users to save an entire conversation as a preserved memory.
For example, users could choose a conversation and select an option such as:
“Save this conversation to Memory”
This would allow the important context and history of that conversation to remain available for future conversations when needed.
I would like the existing Saved Memory system to remain available. The new ability to preserve entire conversations could simply exist alongside the current system, giving users two options:
Save individual important memories
Save an entire conversation
This could be especially useful for long-term projects, important discussions, and conversations containing context that would be difficult to preserve accurately as individual memory items.
I hope OpenAI will consider adding this capability while keeping the existing Saved Memory functionality.
