I’d like to request two related organization features for ChatGPT Projects:

1. **Project-local pinning**
2. **Persistent manual ordering of chats within a Project**

## 1. Project-local pinning

ChatGPT currently allows me to pin a conversation that belongs to a Project, but the pinned chat is placed in the global **Pinned** section of the sidebar.

I’d like an additional option such as:

- **Pin in Project**
- **Pin to top of Project**

This would keep selected conversations permanently at the top of the Project they belong to, without requiring them to live in the global Pinned section.

For example, I have a long-running Project structured like this:

**Mario Party Bedcouch League**

- 00 — League Control
- 01 — Tracker Build & Design
- 02 — Stats, Records & Storylines
- G001 — Game 001
- G002 — Game 002
- G003 — Game 003
- etc.

The first three chats are permanent control/reference conversations, while new `G###` game chats will continuously accumulate.

Ideally, I could have:

📁 **Mario Party Bedcouch League**
📌 00 — League Control
📌 01 — Tracker Build & Design
📌 02 — Stats, Records & Storylines
G027 — …
G026 — …
G025 — …

Those first three chats would always remain at the top of that Project regardless of which conversation was used most recently.

The existing **global Pin** feature could remain exactly as it is. Project-local pinning would simply be an additional option.

## 2. Manual ordering within Projects

I’d also like the ability to manually reorder chats inside a Project, ideally by drag-and-drop.

Once I arrange the conversations, that order should remain persistent instead of changing based on recent activity.

For example:

📁 **Project**
00 — Project Control
01 — Main Workflow
02 — Research
03 — Archive
Working Chat A
Working Chat B
Working Chat C

For people using Projects as long-term workspaces, productions, research environments, seasons, departments, etc., the position of a chat can have organizational meaning beyond when it was last opened.

## Both features working together

The ideal setup would allow:

- Chats pinned specifically within a Project
- Manual drag-and-drop ordering of the remaining chats
- Persistent custom order
- Existing global pins for conversations that should be accessible outside the Project

So a Project could effectively function as a persistent workspace instead of simply a collection of conversations sorted primarily by activity.

## Current behavior

I’m attaching a screenshot showing the issue.

`00 — League Control` belongs to the **Mario Party Bedcouch League** Project and is visibly listed inside that Project.

However, pinning it creates a shortcut in the global **Pinned** section above the Projects rather than pinning it at the top of its own Project.

That solves a different problem than project-local organization.

## Suggested UI

One possible implementation in a Project chat’s `•••` menu:

- Pin globally
- Pin in Project
- Move to Project
- Rename
- Delete

And at the Project level:

- Manual order
- Sort by recent
- Sort alphabetically
- Reset manual order

Even just **Pin in Project** plus persistent drag-and-drop ordering would solve the core problem.

**Platform:** ChatGPT web on desktop
**Workspace:** ChatGPT Team

I raised this in July/August too. On iOS, the limit of 10 global pins wasn’t enough once I started pinning active Project chats. I also couldn’t reorder them.

Pins inside each Project would help. I’d like their order to stay the same on web, desktop and iOS, with global pins kept separate. Projects should still be easy to find without pinning them.
