I would like to suggest a Recommended Searches feature for the ChatGPT home screen.
The idea is to display a small selection of personalized search/question suggestions based on a user’s chat history, interests, and recently explored topics.
Instead of opening ChatGPT to a completely blank screen, users could immediately see interesting things they might want to explore.
This feature could:
- Make it easier to figure out what to ask next.
- Help users discover topics they wouldn’t have thought to search for.
- Reduce the effort required to form questions.
- Make ChatGPT more helpful.
- Help users continue unfinished research.
- Turn the home screen into a personalized discovery area.
Overall, Recommended Searches could become a useful way for ChatGPT to help users find relevant information. If the recommendations help people continuously figure out what matters next, It could become indispensable.
