As a paying ChatGPT Plus subscriber using GPT-4 with web browsing enabled, I’d like to suggest an improvement to the user experience.
When initiating a research task (web-enabled deep query), a brief message appears showing how many queries I have left — for example, “5 left until April 23.” However, there is no way to view this number again later. The message disappears, and there is no persistent indicator in the ChatGPT interface.
I believe a simple, non-intrusive counter in the interface (e.g., “3 research tasks remaining this month”) would greatly improve transparency and help users plan their usage more effectively — especially for those doing research-intensive work.
I attempted to submit this feedback through the “Share Feedback” or “Report” buttons, but those options are not available in my web or mobile interface. After several conversations with OpenAI Support, I was advised to post this suggestion here.
