Feature Request: Native 1Password Integration in Atlas Browser

:puzzle_piece: Feature Request: Native 1Password Integration in Atlas Browser

Summary:
Please add native 1Password integration into the Atlas browser for seamless password management, autofill, and security workflows.

:brain: Problem

Atlas currently doesn’t have built-in password-manager support, and while browser extensions can sometimes fill the gap, they aren’t always supported or smooth in Atlas. Users like me rely heavily on 1Password for secure logins, password generation, and 2FA storage — switching between Atlas and another browser or the standalone 1Password app disrupts workflow and user experience.

:light_bulb: Proposed Solution

Add native support for 1Password, either as:

  • A built-in password-manager integration, or

  • A first-class API connection to 1Password’s services (using their public SDKs).

Key capabilities:

  • Autofill credentials on login pages

  • Password generation on sign-up pages

  • Quick access to secure notes / 2FA codes

  • Vault switching (e.g., personal/work/family)

  • Biometric unlock and session timeout support

This could live as a sidebar panel or an integrated password prompt in the Atlas UI.

:locked: Benefits

  • Improved user convenience: Seamless sign-ins without switching apps.

  • Better security: Eliminates risky copy/paste behavior for credentials.

  • Productivity boost: Reduces time managing passwords externally.

  • Differentiation: Positions Atlas as privacy-conscious and security-forward.

:mobile_phone: Platforms

  • Desktop (Windows & macOS)

  • Future mobile versions of Atlas

:woman_raising_hand: Why it matters

As a daily Atlas user, I depend on 1Password for all authentication tasks. A native integration would make Atlas a truly self-contained, secure, and user-friendly environment for productivity.

Thank you for considering this feature! I’d be happy to test early implementations or provide further feedback.
