Feature request: Live handwriting/pen tutoring mode

I would like ChatGPT to support a live handwriting canvas for devices such as the Microsoft Surface Pro with Surface Pen, iPad with Apple Pencil, and other stylus-enabled devices.

The important part is that I do not just want handwriting converted into typed text. I want ChatGPT to be able to observe the actual handwritten work as it develops in real time.

For example, while working through a calculus problem, I could write each step naturally, erase things, draw arrows, circle terms, sketch graphs, and make substitutions. ChatGPT could monitor my work and provide tutoring feedback as I go, such as confirming a correct step or stopping me when I make an algebra or calculus mistake.

This would essentially combine a digital whiteboard/notebook with ChatGPT’s tutoring capabilities. It would be especially useful for math, physics, engineering, chemistry, and other subjects where typing notation is much slower than handwriting.

Ideally, it would support pen strokes, erasing, highlighting, diagrams, equations, and optional real-time voice conversation while writing.

You can discuss shared work using supported mobile Advanced Voice screen sharing: https://help.openai.com/en/articles/20001274. That isn’t the integrated live pen tutor you describe. Thanks for the idea—we’ll pass along the request. No timeline to share.
