Feature Request: Intelligent Prompt Template Suggestion Based on User Behavior

As a long-time user of ChatGPT — especially for image generation and complex, detail-sensitive prompts — I’ve found that when users are working with structured, multilayered requests (e.g. tuning car visuals, consistent environmental designs, or multi-angle image series), the success rate heavily depends on prompt clarity and structure.

This post is based on a recommendation I received directly from ChatGPT (GPT-4o). The model itself suggested that submitting this feedback would help improve the system in the long term — and after testing its reasoning in detail, I agree.

My request:
Please consider adding a feature that detects patterns of repeated regenerations or frustrated prompt adjustments, and then offers an optional, intelligent prompt structuring aid or template.

This could:

Reduce repeated generations caused by misunderstandings,

Lighten system load and improve efficiency,

Significantly increase user satisfaction and trust,

Empower intermediate and advanced users without burdening beginners.

Currently, most users don’t know what a “prompt” even is. The system avoids “teaching” by design, but the opportunity exists to add just-in-time assistance, triggered by behavioral cues (e.g. multiple edits on a generation task). A simple pop-up like:

“Would you like help organizing your request into a structured format?”

…could make a big difference — especially for things like image generation, where small misinterpretations can derail the whole result.

I’m currently working on moving from casual to “Level 3” use — meaning, I’m not an IT professional, but I’m consciously adopting structured prompting, memory, and feedback tools in order to help OpenAI improve and to increase the quality of my own experience. That’s also why I’m taking the time to submit this now.

Thank you for reading — and thank you to GPT-4o for the collaborative insight that made this feedback possible.
