Feature Request: Hide the ChatGPT app icon from the Dock on macOS

Please bring back the option to show or hide ChatGPT in the Dock when the app window is closed. In the current version (1.2025.077), this setting is no longer available. Previously, it would hide automatically.

Strongly agree. Immediately noticed it’s no longer hiding in the dock and went looking for the setting and it’s no longer there. Very frustrating. I want to access the app from the menu bar only/with the shortcut only.

what a dumb thing to remove. no wonder I couldn’t figure out how to hide it again. what a pain.

Please bring it back! The dock can get so cluttered so quickly it was handy to keep the app in the menu bar and ask questions quickly with Option + Space.

Yes, please bring back the option to hide the icon. This is very annoying.

Yes, totally agree we need this back. Has been annoying dealing with the extra dock icon. The previous behavior of having the app live in the menu bar only should be an option.
