What I would give for this feature! I am honestly surprise it hasn’t been implemented yet! Consider the amount of functions you can have Chat perform it would make sense to have folders to organize that.

Agree we need folders. The url for each chat is unique so you can just create shortcuts in folders. It’s work but no extension needed. Edge has the collections feature that is easy to get to. In both cases your browser profile sync will get the folders to all your devices.

This is a must. I’m finding harder and harder to go through all the chats I have. Also tags would be a great addition which could be user for searching and organising chats.

I just created an account for this specific thread as also I would be grateful if the upper mentioned organization type is added to (paid) subscription.
my ChatGPT is becoming unusable due to number of chats - trying to find the right one’s to continue is wasting soo much time.
Please implement this feature.
ps. I am on the paid version and see this as a pretty basic feature that is missing

Good glad I am not the only one.
I have so many similar topics in my side bar that to organize it is cumbersom. I do use the archive but when its chronologically organized and uneditable.
I’d rather have it easily accessable.
Though props to the Search bar able to find specific text inside the chats not just the specific chat names.
Also just put the image of the GPT used for that particular chat. Makes it easier to identify the GPT associated with it.
Also can we just have select archive instead of “ARCHIVE ALL”?
How is this not implemented yet? It’s so obvious.
I would prefer Tags/Labels over a folder structure personally.

Currently, I’m using the Chrome folder extension, but it’s not transferring across accounts/computers, causing me to rebuild it a few times. We really need something built into GPT. Please, please, please…

We do need this. It’s a basic feature that should be obvious for a tool like ChatGPT. Should be on top of the list of the dev team. Asap.
Have you tried to check the Reddit community r/chatgpttoolbox?
I also signed up just to add my voice to this feature request. Folders just seem like such an obvious feature

please, add this feature as soon as humanly possible. it’s such a low hanging fruit with a lot of usability for most users!
