Feature Request: Enable Text-to-Speech (TTS) Functionality for Canvas in ChatGPT

Dear OpenAI Team,

I would like to suggest an improvement that could significantly enhance accessibility for many users, including those with visual impairments or reading difficulties. Currently, the Text-to-Speech (TTS) function is available in ChatGPT conversations, but it does not work within the Canvas (Projects) feature.

For users who rely on screen readers or the built-in TTS function, having this feature extended to the Canvas environment would be extremely helpful. Since the Canvas section is often used for structured documents, project notes, and longer texts, enabling TTS here would greatly improve usability and accessibility.

Proposed Enhancement:

• Extend the existing Text-to-Speech (TTS) functionality to the Canvas (Projects) feature in ChatGPT.

• Ensure compatibility with standard screen readers and accessibility tools.

• Optionally, provide adjustable voice settings to customize the listening experience.

Why This Matters:

• This would make ChatGPT more inclusive for users with visual impairments or reading difficulties.

• It aligns with accessibility best practices and helps users who rely on audio-based interaction.

• It would improve workflow efficiency for users who need auditory feedback while working on documents.

I believe this feature would benefit many users and make ChatGPT even more powerful as an accessible AI assistant.

Thank you for considering this request! I look forward to seeing ChatGPT continue to evolve and improve.

Best regards,
J.C.Gai
