# Feature Request: Disaster Recovery Access

I recently lost my home in a fire and discovered that ChatGPT has been one of the most helpful tools during recovery. It has helped me plan the layout of our replacement home, create contractor checklists, compare products, organize insurance-related tasks, and make careful purchasing decisions while rebuilding.

I would like OpenAI to consider a temporary ChatGPT Plus benefit or discounted plan for verified victims of major disasters (house fires, hurricanes, tornadoes, floods, etc.). Even one to three months of Plus access could make a meaningful difference during an incredibly difficult time.

Verification could be through documentation such as an insurance claim, fire report, FEMA assistance, or other official records.

I’m sorry you’re dealing with the loss of your home. Thank you for sharing how ChatGPT has helped during recovery. We haven’t verified a disaster-recovery Plus benefit, but we’ll pass along the request for temporary access or discounts. We don’t have an eligibility process or timeline to share.
