ChatGPT Aura
ChatGPT Aura would be an optional, user-controlled mode that allows ChatGPT to understand the context of your daily life and use that information to become a deeply personalized AI assistant, coach, and advisor.
With Aura enabled, ChatGPT could learn from the daily experiences you choose to share—meetings, conversations, negotiations, decisions, commitments, problems, and interactions with other people.
Over time, Aura would not only learn what is happening around you. It could also learn how you operate.
It could begin to understand your communication style, decision-making patterns, strengths, weaknesses, habits, leadership style, reactions under pressure, negotiation tendencies, and the way you interact with different personalities.
That would allow Aura to provide coaching that is specific to you, rather than generic advice.
For example, you could ask:
“Aura, how did I handle that conversation?”
“Was I too aggressive or too passive?”
“What do you notice about the way I manage people?”
“What personality types do I communicate best with?”
“Where do I keep making the same mistake?”
“What could I have said differently?”
“Based on everything you’ve learned about me, what should I work on?”
Aura could also analyze the behavior and communication patterns of the people you regularly interact with, helping you better understand how to approach different employees, customers, partners, or colleagues.
For managers and business owners, that could become extremely powerful.
Aura could help identify who responds well to direct communication, who needs more coaching, where conflict repeatedly develops, which employees may be disengaged, and how the user’s own management style affects the team.
Aura as a Personal Assistant
Aura would also recognize important commitments and events throughout the day.
If you say:
“I’ll call John Tuesday morning.”
Aura could offer to create a reminder.
If someone tells you:
“Our meeting was moved to Thursday at 2:00.”
Aura could recognize the change and, with your approval, update your calendar.
If you tell someone:
“I’ll get that report to you Friday.”
Aura could remember the commitment and remind you before the deadline.
It could help track:
- Meetings
- Calls
- Deadlines
- Follow-ups
- Customer commitments
- Employee issues
- Business decisions
- Personal commitments
- Important events
You could simply ask:
“Aura, what do I need to do tomorrow?”
“Who did I promise to call?”
“What haven’t I followed up on?”
“What important things happened this week?”
The Bigger Idea
Today, ChatGPT usually responds to the information you manually provide in a prompt.
Aura would add something completely different:
Context over time.
The more appropriate context the user chooses to share, the better Aura could understand their world, personality, responsibilities, relationships, and goals.
That creates a continuous improvement loop:
Listen → Understand → Learn → Remember → Coach → Analyze → Assist → Act
Aura would become more valuable over time because its advice would increasingly reflect the individual user rather than giving the same generalized recommendations to everyone.
Privacy and consent would need to be foundational. Aura should be explicitly enabled, clearly indicate when active, allow instant pausing, let users control what is retained or deleted, require confirmation for sensitive actions, and include safeguards for the privacy and consent of other people whose conversations may be captured.

Give AI context, not just prompts.
Not just an AI that knows what you ask.
An AI that learns how you think, helps you improve, and helps you run your life.
