Hi there,
I use ChatGPT daily, mostly for creative writing. One thing I really miss is the ability to format text – especially bold and italic – using simple Markdown-style syntax (like *text* or _text_) like it is in WhatsApp and was in Skype.

This would make longer texts and nuanced conversations much easier to read and structure – especially when switching perspectives, quoting characters, or emphasizing certain points.

Please consider adding this feature. It would be a huge improvement for many users – especially those of us who work with words for a living. :blush:

+1 from a daily user. Basic formatting like italic and bold would be a small change with a huge usability impact.
Markdown support would massively boost clarity and flow for long-form writing.
