Feature Request: Automatically Strip EXIF Metadata From All Image Uploads

I would like to request a privacy-by-default improvement for ChatGPT.

When users upload screenshots or photos from mobile or desktop devices, ChatGPT should automatically strip EXIF and other embedded metadata from the uploaded copy before it is processed, retained, or saved.
This should apply by default across all current ChatGPT plans, including Free, Plus, Pro, Business, Enterprise, and Edu.
Potentially sensitive metadata can include GPS/location data, device and camera information, timestamps, and other embedded details that users may not realize are attached to an image.

The original file on the user’s device should remain unchanged; only the copy uploaded to ChatGPT should have its metadata removed.

This would provide stronger privacy protection automatically, without requiring users to manually scrub images before uploading them.

Thank you for considering this feature.
