I would love to share a few feature requests that would drastically improve how we interact with ChatGPT, especially for long-term research, learning, and productivity.
Currently, managing a large number of conversations can become messy. Here are a few UI/UX improvements that would make a huge difference:
- Custom Folders & Sorting: The ability for users to manually sort individual chats or specific responses into custom, self-created folders to easily categorize different topics.
- In-Chat Highlighting: A tool to highlight or underline specific sentences or paragraphs directly within ChatGPT’s responses to mark key information.
- Response Bookmarking: Instead of just pinning entire conversations, being able to bookmark specific high-value responses within a chat for quick access.
- Annotations & Notes: The option to add personal notes, comments, or annotations directly onto ChatGPT’s outputs without having to copy-paste everything into an external note-taking app.
These features would transform ChatGPT from a simple chat interface into a powerful, organized knowledge management system.
