@OpenAI_Support @VeitB Voice Mode currently appears to be available only when starting a new Work or Codex conversation. Existing chats—especially older, long-running threads—do not show the voice option.
Please add Voice Mode support to existing Work and Codex chats, or provide a way to upgrade or migrate those conversations without losing their history and context.
Many Work and Codex chats contain substantial project context, decisions, instructions, and ongoing work. Requiring users to start a new conversation just to access Voice Mode breaks continuity and makes the feature less useful for existing projects.
Requested behavior:
- Make the Voice Mode button available in existing Work and Codex chats.
- Preserve the full conversation history and project context.
- If direct support is not technically possible, provide a “Continue in a voice-enabled chat” option that transfers the relevant context automatically.
This would make Voice Mode much more useful for long-running projects and established workflows.
